A Valentine’s with Good Taste


Valentine’s Day at The Pig’s Ear is about good food, good wine and enjoying yourselves without taking it all too seriously. On Saturday 14th February, we’ll be serving a special Valentine’s set menu all day and into the evening, made for lingering lunches, cosy dinners and everything in between.


The menu opens with a playful loosener — Jersey oysters with apple and a mushroom Marmite éclair — the sort of start that sets the tone nicely. From there, things move into comfort territory with crab ravioli, followed by a proper main event: Sussex beef fillet Rossini, served with brioche, duck liver and truffle. No half measures.


To finish, there are white chocolate profiteroles, because Valentine’s Day deserves something indulgent and unapologetically good.


For those who fancy going all in, our optional wine pairing starts with "Naughty" Vintage — our Valentine’s-only name for Nutbourne’s Nutty Vintage. Same wine you love, just feeling a little cheekier for the occasion.


The Valentine’s set menu is £68 per person, with an optional £45 wine pairing. Relaxed, generous and very much The Pig’s Ear way of doing Valentine’s.
