Glorious Twelfth Grouse Lands at The Pig's Ear

There's no better excuse for a proper pub feast than the start of grouse season, and The Pig's Ear is ready. From 13th August, we're serving the season's first grouse as a special, prepared in our own way to mark one of the great dates in the British food calendar.

Grouse can't be farmed — it's wild, shot on the Yorkshire moors, and only available for a few short weeks each year. With just 120 birds arriving across all our restaurants for opening week, our Chelsea pub will only have a handful on offer, so this isn't one to leave to chance.

Our Young Yorkshire Grouse comes with elderberries, cauliflower purée and crispy bacon, finished with wood sorrel — rich, gamey, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. It's British produce and seasonality done properly, the way we like it at The Pig's Ear.

Fancy being among the first through the door for grouse this year? Book your table at The Pig's Ear, Chelsea, before they're gone.
