Three floors, one big celebration. This New Year’s Eve, The Pig’s Ear on Old Church Street is serving a four-course feast upstairs, throwing a party downstairs, and opening The Chelsea Room for private hire. Our New Year’s Eve menu is available on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 December.
First floor: New Year’s Eve dinner in our bistro room, £98
Our New Year’s Eve menu is served in our first-floor bistro room. Kick off with a glass of Nutbourne’s Nutty Vintage 2018 and a mushroom Marmite éclair with confit egg yolk and cornichon. Feeling flush? Add an Exmoor caviar blini (+£18).
Then share torched squash carpaccio with candied stem ginger and an endive, pear and blue cheese salad, before the star of the night: Sussex beef Wellington with wild mushrooms and red wine jus, with crispy rosemary potatoes on the side. Round it off with dark chocolate mousse, hazelnut praline and a cranberry fruit pastel. Vegetarian and pescatarian menus are available.
Ground floor: drinks, snacks and a DJ until late
On New Year’s Eve, the ground-floor pub is reserved for drinks, snacks and the party. From 9pm on 31 December, our live DJ takes over and plays until late, turning the pub into Chelsea’s cosiest dance floor. Grab a drink by the fire and count down to midnight.
Second floor: The Chelsea Room for private hire
Planning your own New Year’s celebration? The Chelsea Room on our second floor is available for private hire, giving your group its own space for dinner and drinks, with the party just a staircase away. The room can accommodate 8 to 20 guests seated and 24 standing.
